Assistive Technology for Richard

Assistive Technology for Richard

Richard is a recipient of government funding through the Equipment and Assistive Technology Initiative (EATI). This funding allowed him to have the necessary hand controls installed in his vehicle, as well as receive training on how to operate them. Richard is living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) that has quite significantly limited the use of his legs over the last 10 years.

Clients of the Keremeos Community Day Program are recipients of the Equipment and Assistive Technology Initiative (EATI). They are now learning to use their laptops, iPads, GPS and Intel Readers for possible work and volunteer purposes… another step closer to independence!

Laurie just received her GPS Trekker through the Equipment and Assistive Technology Initiative (EATI) funded by the federal and provincial governments of Canada. She is one step closer to greater independence and full participation within her community in Keremeos.
